Sangeeta Thapa

Sangeeta Thapa is Chairperson and Founder of Kathmandu Triennale. She is also the founder of the Siddhartha arts foundation (SAF), which has been the principal organiser of the triennale since its conception in 2012. Her work aims at supporting artists and allowing for space to be given to a new generation of arts leaders. Through her career Ms. Thapa has curated over 500 shows and regularly initiates community art projects. Ms Thapas continued contribution to the development of arts in nepal is inimitable and aligns with the work of SAF through to KT2077, all with the ultimate aim of enriching Kathmandu as a cultural hub for socially aware art practices in south asia and the global arts network.
