In this series, human hair is treated as a sacred element that connects womanhood and “all phenomena beyond the sky,” according to artist Ashmina Ranjit. In Ranjit’s paintings, these sinuous hair strands constantly morph into di ferent braids, swirls, and landscapes, emitting a mysterious life force as they “ fow, fy, dance, celebrate, shout, and echo in the night sky.”

The artist’s participation in KT2077 is supported by the US Embassy in Nepal.
